Picture Day Protocol
-
Arrive at the studio with your dancer’s hair and makeup already done and costume on 10 min before your designated time frame. Dancers' hair can be however you want it for their picture, it doesn’t have to be any certain way. Just make sure it looks picture ready!
-
When you arrive, check-in with our attendant at the desk in the lobby. When the photographer is ready for your dancer, someone will escort them in to have their picture taken. Studio A will serve as our holding room and dressing room for overflow. Only moms and dancers will be allowed in the Studio A dance space. Due to changes taking place in that room, men will not be permitted. Boy dancers can use the Studio B bathroom for changing. Please make sure your dancer goes to the bathroom prior to coming. We only have 1 bathroom in the back of each room, so they would have to walk through either the photoshoot or the dressing area to access the bathroom in the back, which could be a disruption.
-
Only one parent/guardian may enter the lobby with the dancer due to our lobby space being small, and the parent/guardian will be asked to remain in the lobby while the dancer’s picture is being taken. While the dancer is being photographed, the parent or guardian may finish up paperwork and payment with the photographer’s assistant at the desk. No one will be allowed in the Studio B dance space where pictures are being taken other than the photographer, the student, and our teaching staff. Parents awaiting their child to be done can watch the session on the TV screen in the lobby. Our teachers do their best to ensure your dancer looks their best in their pictures (i.e., fixing hair, and proper posing)
-
Students with multiple costumes may change their costumes in Studio A during their session. Dancers with more than 3 costumes, please select a maximum of 3 costumes to take pictures in so we can keep the session moving, unless we can work in a 4th look if time permits.
-
Students and parents are not allowed to “hang out” in either studio space. We want to limit the number of people in the space at any given time. Please only be in the building during your dancer’s time slot.
-
****NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO DURING PICTURE DAY*****

Revue Order Forms
At Picture Day, you will find forms and information on purchasing an ad for the program at the show, and a flowers order form if you would like us to have flowers at the theatre for you to give your dancer after the show. We also have a running list in studio of all dancers making their 5th, 7th, 10th, or 15th year of dance milestone to receive an award at the show. We have included these forms here on the website for your convenience if you want to see them in advance. In addition, we want to make sure all kids get the right size for their commemorative and complimentary Revue Performance T-Shirt, so we have the sizing form for that below as well. If you want to order any additional shirts, you can submit that additional request as well. All students get a complimentary shirt for performing in the show, any additional for like let’s say a parent or sibling will be $15 per shirt.
Let us know if you have any questions! We plan to send dancers home with costumes the week before picture day. Due to shipping delays, we want to wait until everything has officially arrived. You will also be e-mailed a guide of how the costume should look on. Anyone with a tutu, please hang it up as soon as you get it in to help the wrinkles to fall out and the tutu to flatten. We also encourage steaming tutus before attending picture day.
