Picture Day Info 2026

Picture Day will be held Saturday, March 21st, at our studio. Our favorite photographers, DK Hebert Photography, will be returning from Lafayette to take pictures of our dancers in their Revue costumes. Here are the time slots for each class. We will begin costume fittings and distributions in classes starting this coming week.

**We want everyone participating in the Revue Performance to attend their class picture time slot so we can include everyone in the Revue Program for each class. If your dancer has a conflict, please let us know. Dancers are also invited to take individual photos in their costumes. Our photographers are updating their price guide for this season. They should have it ready for us this weekend, and we’ll send it out once we receive it.

Picture Day Protocol
-
Arrival: Arrive at the studio with your dancer’s hair and makeup already done and costume on 10-15 min before your designated time frame. Dancers' hair can be done however you want it for their picture; it doesn’t have to be any certain way. Just make sure it looks picture-ready! There will be assigned hairstyles for the actual performance, but Picture Day can be however you want.
-
Check in: When you arrive, check in with our attendants in the lobby. When the photographer is ready for your dancer, someone will escort them in to have their picture taken. The Studio B room will be the photography space, while Studio A serves as our holding room and dressing room for our female students. Only moms/female guardians will be permitted in Studio A with our female dancers. Male students may change costumes or use the bathroom in the Studio B backspace. Please make sure your dancer goes to the bathroom before coming. We only have one bathroom in the back of each room, so they would have to walk through either the photoshoot or the dressing area to access the bathrooms in the back, which could be a disruption.
-
Parents/Guardians: Only one parent/guardian may enter the lobby with the dancer due to our lobby space being small, and the parent/guardian will be asked to remain in the lobby while the dancer’s picture is being taken. While the dancer is being photographed, the parent or guardian may finish up paperwork and payment, if purchasing, with the photographer’s assistant at the desk. Our teaching staff will pose the students for their pictures and assist the photographer. Parents who are waiting for their child to finish can watch the session on the TV screen in the lobby. Our teachers do their best to ensure your dancer looks their best in their pictures (i.e., fixing hair and proper posing)
-
Have multiple costumes? Students with multiple costumes may change their costumes in Studio A during their session. Dancers with more than 3 costumes: please select a maximum of 3 costumes for pictures so we can keep the session moving, unless we can work in a 4th look if time permits.
-
Please only be in the building during your dancer’s time slot to keep the space from getting too crowded
-
****NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO DURING PICTURE DAY*****

Additional Info
-
Picture Ordering: You may purchase the day-of or wait for the online gallery to go live and see the proofs before ordering. However, the photographers do provide a discount for ordering on the day of. Our photographers order the prints from a separate company, so when ordered on the day of pictures, they place a bulk order, and therefore, there are fewer costs incurred on their side. If ordering online, they ship directly to you, so this incurs additional processing and shipping fees.
-
Online Gallery: The online gallery will be available around 2 weeks after pictures are taken, we will send out a link to everyone once it goes live
-
Pre-Order Pick Up: Pictures ordered the day of will be in studio for pick up around 2-3 weeks after picture day. We will make an announcement when they are available.

Revue Order Forms
-
At Picture Day, you will find forms and information on purchasing an ad for the program at the show, and a flowers order form if you would like us to have flowers at the theatre for you to give your dancer after the show. We also have a running list in the studio of all dancers making their 5th, 7th, 10th, or 15th year of dance milestone to receive an award at the show. The forms and lists are on the website (except for the flower form, which will be up the week of pictures). In addition, we want to make sure all kids get the right size for their commemorative and complimentary Revue Performance T-Shirt, so we have the sizing form for that online as well. If you want to order any additional shirts, you can submit that additional request as well. All students get a complimentary shirt for performing in the show, and any additional for like let’s say a parent or sibling, will be $15 per shirt.

Costumes
-
After costumes get fitted and sent home, you will also be emailed a guide of how the costume should look on, where accessories go, etc. Anyone with a tutu, please hang it up as soon as you get it in to help the wrinkles to fall out and the tutu to flatten. We also encourage steaming tutus before attending picture day.
For all additional questions, send us a text or email. We're always happy to help. We're so excited and cannot wait to see our dancers in their costumes!
