Alaura Cervini comes to us from New Orleans where she grew up training and then teaching at Rhonda Edmonson’s School of Dance. She has already established herself as an outstanding choreographer, most notably choreographing the title-winning solo of the National Teen Miss Dance of America and opening numbers for the Louisiana Association of Dance Masters. She received an Honors diploma in Dance at Southeastern Louisiana University, with minors in history and Contemporary Choreography. There she has worked as a student choreographer for the dance department, specifically for the Dance Performance Project. With the Southeastern Dance program, she has choreographed works that have attended the iconic American Dance Festival and American College Dance Association (ACDA) Conference. She graduated in the Fall of 2021 but continues collaborate with SELU dance program. Alaura has attended the Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School in New York and teaches based on the DMA syllabus. She is excited begin her second-year teaching at RAVE and working in the RAVE office as a desk attendant and office assistant.
