Alaura Cervini comes to us from New Orleans where she grew up training and then teaching at Rhonda Edmonson’s School of Dance. Throughout her time at Rhonda’s, she excelled on the competitive team, winning numerous regional and national high score awards. She has since established herself already as an outstanding choreographer, most notably choreographing the title-winning solo of the National Teen Miss Dance of America, and opening numbers for the Louisiana Association of Dance Masters. After graduating from Haynes Academy, where she was also on the dance team, she went on to pursue a Major in Dance at Southeastern Louisiana University. At Southeastern she served as a T.A. for the dance department where she co-ran rehearsals and choreographed for the dance ensemble. Through the Southeastern dance program she has choreographed and attended the iconic American Dance Festival and has choreographed for the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Conference Festival. She graduated from Southeastern in the fall of 2021, but is continuing to choreograph and assist with their dance program. Alaura has attended the Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School in New York and will be returning this summer! She is excited to start her first-year teaching at RAVE and also working in the RAVE office as a desk attendant and office assistant.
